YOU can make it possible for a child to experience, for the first time, the joy and wonder of their first real Christmas.
They’ll have the chance to decorate a tree while listening to Christmas music, to enjoy a mug of hot chocolate while snuggled underneath a blanket, or the delight of opening a gift with their name on it!
Sadly, for many children who come to Thornwell, Christmas has been a time they would soon forget. For these kids, darkness was all too real as many have been abused, neglected, or abandoned and their home at times does not have running water or electricity – kids like Jason, Jordan, Emily, and Kristen. Food was especially scarce for them and they often wondered where their next meal was – so they dare not dream about the splendor of Christmas.
But you can be the light of Christ by bringing smiles to the faces of children and memories that will last a lifetime!
