Join us for “Field of Dreams: The Journey” Family Fun Day on June 26th
Take Me Out to the Ball Field…
Upstate Fatherhood Coalition and Thornwell are teaming up to host the 1st annual “Field of Dreams: The Journey” family fun day to be held at Fluor Field on Saturday, June 26th. Families and kids of all ages are encouraged to attend the event aimed at strengthening family connections through fun and engaging activities.
“We are honored to take part in an event that promotes engaging family fun, while also providing educational resources that empower families in our community,” said Marques Petty, Thornwell Director of Foster Care. “Our organizations believe that family changes everything. As a father and a foster care professional, I know this to be deeply true and look forward to celebrating this will all who attend.”
Family Fun Day Event
The “Field of Dreams” event will be held on Saturday, June 26th, 2021. The event will begin at 12 noon and end at 5 PM. All ages are welcome. In addition to free food, health screenings and resources from participating community partners, there will be a variety of events for children and parents including a chance to run the bases, tug of war, dizzy bat races, and more. Children ages 7 to 15 can sign up to participate in the Home-Run Derby which will take place between 3 PM & 5 PM. There are three different age groups for the event, and winners will receive tickets to a future Greenville Drive game.
