You can Feed, Clothe, and Shelter a Child in Need this Christmas!
Due to a severe shortage of adequate foster homes, it is likely that many children in state custody, out of necessity, will be handed a sleeping bag to make a “bed” on the floor of an office.
I’m writing you today to ask if you will help Alana have a place to sleep and peace this Christmas, knowing she will be safe in a loving Thornwell foster home that will meet her needs.
Will you give today and help Alana heal by receiving shelter, food, medical care, love, and spiritual guidance in a nurturing environment?
Youth like Alana get shifted around from home to home – up to three times a year. A stable and safe home is critical for children to grow and heal.
When you give today, Alana will join her foster family around a beautifully decorated tree on Christmas Eve. She’ll hear the Christmas story from Luke, which begins with Mary giving birth to Jesus, wrapping him in swaddling clothes, and laying him in a manger because there was no room for them in the inn. I can’t help but think this mirrors Alana’s situation.
No room. A manger. No room. A sleeping bag.
