You can help children from hard places celebrate the Christmas season!

Imagine leaving home during Christmas – not because you want to, but because you must.

Now, imagine if you were a young child who needs to be in foster care while everyone else sees family, picks out a tree, and goes to midnight mass together.

We’re on a mission to give children who’ve never experienced Christmas a season filled with love and kindness.
Will you help a child know God’s love? You can! Give today to provide basic needs – food, shelter, and clothing – for children like Anna who are experiencing extreme hardship.

Anna came to Thornwell exhausted – mentally, physically, and spiritually. At just 16-years-old, she’s suffered and endured more than any child ever should. She’s been forced to face things that I’m not even comfortable writing. Think of the most difficult things a child could witness or endure and that pretty much sums up Anna’s difficult life. You get the picture.

It isn’t fair. It isn’t right. And Anna is weary.

She needs your help.

You can help show Anna that her life is more than sorrow. You can help show her that she’s worthy of love…that she’s safe…that she’s enough.

That’s the power of your selfless giving. As a friend of Thornwell, you come alongside children as they heal. Will you join us again to help lift the burden of unimaginable suffering in the lives of hurting children?

It’s been a while now since we’ve all known what “normal” feels like. Even still, we are blessed with people and things that bring us comfort and joy. Can you imagine what children and families who feel alone and hopeless have endured in this time? There’s never been a greater season of need.

I wish you could meet Anna. She’s smart, kind, and possesses a gentle determination. I can’t look at Anna and not see the parallels to another young girl who more than 2,000 years ago endured and sacrificed much to deliver the Savior of the world. Despite everything, Mary trusted God with a gentle determination:

“My soul glorifies the Lord and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior, for he has been mindful of the humble state of his servant.” Luke 1:46-28

God had a profound purpose for Mary, despite her humble beginnings. Children like Anna also have a beautiful purpose – a purpose that you help them find when you choose to give!

Did you know that you can make it possible for children to experience the joy of Christmas in safe and loving homes?
You can—when you join me in making a gift this holiday season! Your financial support will help provide food, clean clothes, warm beds, and caring, safe homes to children like Anna who continue to need your support like never before.
I can’t wait for Anna to experience her first Christmas morning at Thornwell. She’s never had a Christmas tree before, let alone Christmas presents. I think she’s going to love the beautiful pink purse wrapped for her – her favorite color! Most importantly, she’s going to wake up warm, safe, and loved because you stepped in.

We need passionate and unwavering supporters like you to help children who are arriving at Thornwell every day. If you are able, please consider giving to make a life-changing difference for hurting children like Anna we serve all year long.

Thank you for being the kind of person who believes in a world where every child has a safe and loving home—this Christmas and throughout the year. We can’t do this without you!

Your donation will make Anna’s life better. Not just for a few days or a few weeks. You’ll help her have lasting change. You’ll improve her life beyond measure – forever.

May you and your family have a blessed Christmas season!
