2026 Resolution: Meaningful Change. Wholistic Wellbeing
Mental Health is the Most Meaningful Resolution
As we enter a new year, we consider what we want for ourselves and our family over the next twelve months – and beyond. Many people make a New Year’s resolution, choose a theme word for the year, create a vision board, or even write a letter to their future self. These can be helpful ways to motivate change when done with intention and not with shame.
Mental health is the most meaningful resolution you can make this year! Unlike goals tied to productivity or perfection, a mental health resolution centers on sustainability and self-compassion, creating space for healing, growth, and deeper connection.
When we commit to supporting mental health – for ourselves and our family – we are better able to experience joy, manage stress, and show up for each other in ways that matter. The impact will last well beyond 2026!
But mental health isn’t a resolution you make in isolation or keep to yourself. Thornwell believes healing happens through connection. Thornwell Community Counseling is here to help! Whether you’re seeking support for yourself, your child, or your whole family unit, we work with you where you are — online, in-person, or in-home when appropriate.
Grounded in attachment theory and trauma-informed care, our Mental Health Counselors use evidence-based methods, such as the Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) framework, to help clients regulate emotions, rebuild trust, and transform relationships — healing past attachment wounds and building healthier pathways forward.
When you are looking back on 2026, you’ll be proud you didn’t wait until the next year to embrace healing! Choosing mental health is choosing compassion, care, and connection. It is a commitment that strengthens individuals, families, and communities alike—and Thornwell is here to support your journey every step of the way.
