LushAcres Farm Named Best Festival in South Carolina! A Celebration of Purpose, Community, and Farm Fun

We are excited to announce that LushAcres Farm has been awarded as a “Best Festival” in South Carolina in the 2025 Best of South Carolina Awards, presented by The Guide to South Carolina! 

With hundreds of thousands of votes cast statewide, this honor reflects the joy, connection, and impact that our Spring and Fall Festivals bring to families each year. Thank you to everyone who supported us by voting and sharing their festival experiences with others. 

Our festivals are more than just a seasonal tradition; they embody Thornwell’s mission in action. 

From hayrides and live music to barnyard animals, gem mining, homemade treats, and pick-your-own produce, our Spring and Fall Festivals provide families with a place to connect, play, and create lasting memories. But behind every pumpkin picked and photo taken lies something even more significant: hope. 

Proceeds from the festivals directly support Thornwell’s work with children and families throughout. This includes: 

• Foster care programs that prioritize stability and sibling connections 

• Family preservation services that strengthen households during times of need 

• Early childhood education at our Thornwell Child Development Center 

• Youth and transitional living programs that guide young people toward independence 

When families visit the farm, they help other families build a stronger future. 

The winners of the 2025 Best of South Carolina were announced today on the Guide to South Carolina website, through their newsletter, and across social media. LushAcres Farm will also be featured in the 2025 Best of South Carolina Print Annual later this year. 

Being recognized as South Carolina’s Best Festival is an exciting achievement that reflects the heart of our mission at Thornwell and LushAcres Farm.
