A Place Where Children Flourish — and Families Feel the Difference

Adalynn was just two years old when she first walked through the doors of Thornwell Child Development Center, stepping into a world that would shape so much of who she would become. From the very beginning, her family knew they had found something special.

Adalynn has been at Thornwell CDC since she was just 2 years old, and it truly has been the best educational place we could have ever chosen for our child,” says Adalyn’s mom.

Inside those classrooms, learning looked like play – blocks stacked high, stories shared on colorful rugs, and friendships formed in the simplest moments. But behind it all, something deeper was happening. Adalynn was building confidence, learning to connect, and discovering who she was in a place where she felt safe and valued.

Her teachers and the CDC staff became a steady presence in her life – guiding, encouraging, and showing up day after day.

Watching her grow, learn, and build friendships here has meant so much to our family,” says Adalynn’s mom.

Through every milestone, big and small, there were caring adults cheering her on. Teachers who didn’t just teach, but who truly knew her.

We are so thankful for the teachers who loved and guided her every day. Mrs. Pam, Ms. Tasha, Ms. Courtney, Ms. Abby, and Ms. Caitlyn — thank you for pouring so much into our girl. You will always hold a special place in our hearts.”

And that’s what makes Thornwell CDC different.

It’s not just about preparing children for kindergarten – it’s about preparing them for life. Through meaningful relationships, hands-on learning, and a nurturing environment, children build the foundation for confidence, curiosity, and connection.

Now, the little girl who once walked in holding mom’s hand tightly is ready for her next big step. Kindergarten!

We will miss Thornwell CDC so much, but we are so proud of you, Adalynn. Kindergarten, here she comes!”

She leaves ready—not just academically, but emotionally and socially—because she was supported every step of the way by her family, her teachers, and by generous donors like you. Thank you!
