Celebrating Volunteer Appreciation Month | The Heart of Thornwell

At Thornwell, we know that hope grows best in community. Every day, we are reminded of that truth by the selfless individuals who give their time, energy, and hearts to serve alongside us. During Volunteer Appreciation Month, we pause to celebrate and honor the incredible volunteers who help make our mission possible.

Whether it’s reading with a child, lending a hand at LushAcres Farm, supporting events, assisting in classrooms, or helping with behind-the-scenes tasks, our volunteers show up with compassion and purpose. Their dedication brings light into the lives of the children and families we serve.

Volunteers are often the quiet heroes in the background, but their impact is anything but small. Their presence sends a powerful message: You matter. You are seen. You are loved.

Because of our volunteers, children feel encouraged. Families feel supported. Our programs run more smoothly. Our farm and campus flourish. And our mission continues to grow stronger every day.

At Thornwell, we believe that every child deserves to feel loved and supported, no matter their circumstances. And our volunteers help make that belief a reality.

To each and every person who has given their time to Thornwell, we are deeply grateful. You are part of our story. You are part of our family.

Thank you for being a beacon of hope.
