Thornwell and Other Community Members Make a Difference for Gleaning Day 2023
For weeks our community of generous and driven people came together in preparation for Gleaning Day.
Gleaning Day is dedicated to serving and supporting families in our community facing summer food insecurity. To aid in this fight, boxes of fresh produce, canned goods, and healthy meal ideas were provided to local families.
First Presbyterian Church of Quincy, Florida and First Scots Presbyterian Church in Charleston offered helping hands and extra support as boxes were prepared and packed.
“We are so grateful to have the opportunity to give back and make a difference in our community. It’s an honor to be a part of Thornwell’s meaningful mission, and we are excited to see what positive outcomes we can create together,” said Jacob Koch, Director of LushAcres Farm. “We hope our efforts will make a lasting impact on those in need, and we look forward to continuing our work in the future.”
Thank YOU for giving back and being a helping hand to our community.
