With more than 15 years of experience in leadership roles within the higher education and social service sectors, her vast knowledge especially equips her to lead Thornwell’s Mission Advancement team and enhance its strategic fundraising and stewardship efforts.

“We are so pleased to welcome Elizabeth to Thornwell. Her extensive resume and commitment to championing causes that better the lives of others and our communities at large make her the perfect person to step into this role,” said Myron Wilkins, President and CEO of Thornwell. “I have the utmost confidence in her remarkable abilities and look forward to seeing Elizabeth lead our exceptional Mission Advancement team to new heights.”

Before joining Thornwell, Milhous served as Senior Vice President for Charitable Giving for the Rivers Performance Hall Foundation. Active in the community, she has served on many boards and committees during the past two decades, focusing on education and conservation. She is proud to lead Thornwell’s award-winning Mission Advancement team, which helped earn Thornwell a Platinum Award for nonprofit financial transparency in 2023 – the highest recognition for nonprofits worldwide.

“Thornwell is an incredible, diverse, and impactful organization that supports and empowers those who need it most.
