Thornwell Community Counseling
Trauma-informed, attachment-based
therapy for ALL AGES

Who We Serve

The Thornwell Community Counseling provides trauma-informed, attachment-based therapy for adults, children, teens, and families. Whether you’re seeking support for yourself, your child, or your whole family unit, we work with you where you are — online, in-person, or in-home when appropriate.

Our Approach

We believe healing happens through connection. Grounded in attachment theory and trauma-informed care, our Mental Health Counselors use evidence-based methods, such as the Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) framework, to help clients regulate emotions, rebuild trust, and transform relationships — healing past attachment wounds and building healthier pathways forward.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does this program differ from the previous “Building Families” model?

While the core belief — that a strong connection nurtures well-being — remains, we’ve expanded our scope: we now serve all ages, offer both virtual and in-person sessions broadly, and emphasize trauma-informed & attachment-based care for individuals, couples, families, and children. Our service model is evolving to meet the realities of today’s busy lives and complex needs.

Are services still available in-home?

Yes — in-home sessions remain an option in specific counties for qualified clients. Virtual and in-person sessions are now the primary delivery methods.
