In partnership with Early Head Start and South Carolina First Steps, Thornwell’s Child Development Center is a licensed, early learning program serving children from birth to four years. The center is designed to prepare children for kindergarten through a structured curriculum that encourages exploration, creativity, and skill-building in a nurturing and safe environment. In addition to school readiness, the CDC prioritizes character development, relationship-building, and individualized attention that supports the unique needs of each child.

The program is part of Thornwell’s broader vision and mission to empower children and families to fulfill their God-given potential. Celebrating 150 years of service, Thornwell is a nonprofit organization committed to serving children and families across South Carolina, Georgia, and Florida through residential programs, family support services, and educational initiatives.
